Jakobson's functions in two 20th-century Spanish American short stories

The registration of colloquial language in literature advertised an unmistakable flavor around sociocultural environment that generates. The short story “The row” of the Panamanian writer Justo Arroyo and the tale “Depends” of the Mexican Guillermo Sheridan offer an ad hoc linguistic territory for monitoring of the model of communication theory of Roman Jakobson. The topic of the bureaucracy allows observing the level of speech and gestures of accomplished own bureaucrats. Through the technique of the focus group two groups of students from another language as a second language, they carried out a reading exercise in which only the native readers bureaucratic culture proposal interpreted the language of gestures and the regional voices of the literary characters..Downloads
