Violent Protagonist: intratextual Element of La ciudad y los perros with the initial lliterary works (1952-1977) of Vargas Llosa
Keywords:
Intratextuality., Textual analysis}, Novel, Latin American boom, Mario Vargas LlosaAbstract
This research adopts the novel The Time of the Hero of Mario Vargas Llosa as a primary reference to carry out an intratextual analysis, which consists of finding essential links in the artistic production of the same author. To carry out this comparison, the initial works have been taken up again: The Flight of the Inca, 1952; The Heads, 1959; The Green House, 1966; The Puppies, 1967; Conversation in The Cathedral, 1969; Captain Pantoja and the Special Service, 1973; and The Aunt Julia and the Writer, 1977. A constant in these books is the extrapolation of the empirical nomenclature of violent protagonism (derived from the theories of Mikhail Bakhtin), which is understood as the intervention of the main characters to perform or get involved with the topic of violence. In this sense, it will be verified that this concept is essential to explain the evolution and interests of the represented society.
