Abstract

These pages present various reading and writing strategies based on the story “El castillo de los duendes” (The Castle of the Goblins) by Rosa Quirós, through activities aimed at children between the ages of seven and eight, using the reading games method (Sastrías, 1992). The main theme revolves around the humanoid figure of the elf, present in Latin American oral folklore and fantasy literature. It highlights the characteristics of the character, space, and time, which are key elements of the narrative description.
