Abstract

The following study is in regards to the transformation and processes that the Mexico-Norteamericano immigrant has undertaken, from the figure of “Pachuco” to his evolution to “Chicano”. This individual, which is experiencing a new space, recreates cultural behaviors within the conditions that are presented to them, resulting in a process of transformation in language and living conditions, this generating the existence of a subculture.
