This paper asks about exilic characters in the titled novel “Mierda”, written by Carla Pravisani
(2018). It also proposes a hypothetic politically dynamic feature in them. Methodologically it
appeals to an interpretation of certain aspects under the theoretical scope of exile. It
demonstrates how Eduardo and his father (Argentine exiles) develop an in-betweeness
place, an encapsulated time, and shared political speeches related to their situation. Those
psychological traits lead the son to create strategies for changing the Nicaraguan context.
However neither the critical attitude nor the decided actions are enough for succeeding
through the social and political structures.
