Abstract

This study analyzes the value of the literary supplements of newspapers at the end of the last century, now converted into objects on the way to extinction. The thrust of literature in newspapers was so strong that academic journals and the so-called popular literature suffered. But the digital force, the paper crisis and the gradual disappearance of the newspapers themselves have been reducing this type of publication, which sometimes had a transcendent quality, although the criticism of little effectiveness made by national newspapers mediated by the force itself is also discussed. that the editorials of his groups marked him. The objective of this study is to highlight a stage in the history of cultural journalism of splendor and weakness, but that was very useful to invigorate literary theory and popularize culture through social media. A methodological study is carried out based on field work and a consultation of a scarce bibliography, where a series of sheets of various supplements are prepared, although the bulk of this study focuses on Cuadernos del Sur of Diario Córdoba, which was an example at the national level. Given the above, it is necessary to address the different publications of this type. In conclusion, those attempts to popularize criticism and culture in general in the media became an essential field of essay to exercise literary criticism and publicize specialized books.
