Abstract

The literary edification is brought to us with multiplicity of expressions, resources and narrative elements. In addition, it is capable of lining up our ideas and reflections about the most complex human problems. Science fiction and, specifically cyberpunk displays configurations that merge the creative voice with our concerns. The science fiction novel La primera calle de la soledad by the Mexican author Gerardo Horacio Porcayo presents a complex universe in which is possible to perceive the congregation between technology, religion and violence. Thus, we’ll detect and analyze the mechanisms of the triangular desire and the scapegoat inside Porcayo’s novel. In this way, we aim for the ratification of the importance of literary creation, particularly the one that emerges in science fiction, in the recreation of the phenomena that affects our individual and collective existences.
