Abstract

In the contemporary world there is no longer any discrimination on religious grounds. Open dialogue among believers, as well as among those who are not, is a fundamental subject. Abraham Heschel, a 20th century Polish philosopher and rabbi, alludes that wonder is the starting point and common denomination of religious interest. From this, in awareness of the mystery of being human, understanding and connections are possible. The article presents the bases that allow interreligious dialogue approach from the perspective of Heschel. The experience of reverent fear is alluded to, the Heschelian perspective on other religions is deepened, the dialogue between Judaism and Christianity proposed by the author in question is presented, as well as some of the guidelines for the connection with Islam and Buddhism. Thus, starting from some paths of the philosophy of culture, we will delve into the philosophy of religion.
