Abstract

This paper aims to present an analysis related to the concept of training from the perspective of the notions of device proposed by Foucault (2009), and epistemic community raised by Villoro (2009), in the field of training of researchers in which both concepts allow to present the notion in a complex way as a network of continuous, diffuse, dispersed, instituting and instituted elements that are linked and related in a specific and particular way in the institutions that train researchers.
With these notions we developed an explanatory model of the formation seen as a field of production and reproduction of subjects, discourses and knowledge, hence the importance of addressing its genesis, dynamics and development. For its analysis, the paper is divided into two main sections, the first dedicated to the notion of device and the second to the development of the thesis of epistemic community from the production of knowledge in an area demarcated by epistemic subjects. Both notions are integrated in the dynamics of formation seen from two fundamental theses: knowledge in man is produced from social practices; and, these social practices generate domains, rules, knowledge about what is inside and outside (control and surveillance).
