La construcción del conocimiento en los marcos del quehacer científico, un campo necesario para la reflexión epistemológica
Keywords:
Philosophy of science, Scientific knowledge, Science, Epistemology of scienceAbstract
The present document seeks to outline in a suggestive way the role of science and its production in the knowledge of reality and its projection in the production of scientific knowledge, under the necessary participation of reflection and surveillance (not only epistemological) of philosophy, from any of its branches or fields of study.
The philosophical reflection of the scientific task should not separate the philosopher from his own scientific work, from his inescapable commitment to participate in the analysis and critiques of the relational and procedural dimensions of scientific activity. The philosopher of science, although it can focus on the historical reconstructions of scientific evolution, is confronted in contemporary times with thematic bifurcations that demand an exhaustive analysis around: epistemological perspectives and ontological assumptions, the legitimacy of the objects of study, the relevance of knowledge generated as a result of the socialization of scientific practice, the internal elements involved in logical-psychological-sociological aspects, as well as the functions of scientific knowledge, that is, its implications and social impact. On the other hand, the technological developments, the evolution of the technique, the ethical aspects in the generation of scientific knowledge, or the political focus of it, do not cease to be topics of current relevance.
