Abstract

The study analyzes the intensity comparison structure, being according to Albelda (2004), one of the most productive emphasizing or stressing expression of language. In this case, it focuses on stereotyped hyperbolic word of Spanish and Baoulé (Ivory Coast language), in order to highlight possible equivalences and / or grammatical and lexical-semantic differences. Thus, by contrasting these idiomatic elements that form the corpus, our objective is not only to highlight the structural relations between Indo-European and Niger-Congolese languages, but also to favor the Spanish-Baoulé translation.
