The alchemy of color in art.
Keywords:
Consciousness, Color, Light, SynesthesiaAbstract
Numerous artists of the early twentieth century carried out extensive research through their
work on the subjective power of color and its emotional impact on the viewer, many of them
based their approaches on science and on the philosophical currents of the time. , thus opening
an important reflection that has permeated today's science and psychology.
In this article we will see how these creators channeled many of their efforts through
synesthesia, the contrast of colors and their analogy with music, in a search for a new artistic
language that would specify the alchemy of color and light in their creations. The purpose of
these aesthetic investigations would have to do with a harmonization of our inner light through
intuition, through which we would have an apprehension of our inner colors, thus producing a
process of unconscious perception that would lead us to an illumination of a transcendental
nature.
