Analysis of digital resources for the integration of augmented reality in education.

Abstract

The main objective of this work is to contribute to the understanding of the educational possibilities using Augmented Reality (AR) digital tools. To achieve this objective, we conducted an analysis of the current availability in the field in order to obtain information on some tools that allow the integration of Augmented Reality in educational contexts. From 19 AR tools results, we selected 4 resources and carried out an in-depth analysis of their main features, didactic possibilities and an evaluation that considers general Usability criteria. This analysis allowed us to obtain precise information on the functioning of digital media for possible integration in the classroom or for further study in other research on innovation with the inclusion of Augmented Reality. Through qualitative review we analyzed some of the technological functions for the inclusion of these tools in educational contexts and obtained precise information about the level of AR involvement. In summary, we distinguished 2 resources that enable the inclusion of AR in a simplified or limited way and 2 digital platforms with a greater number of possibilities for more experienced teachers.
