Abstract

The covid-19 pandemic produced a threshold at which the world's uncertainty increased. Early on, various voices tried to construct explanations. Giorgio Agamben was one of the people who intervened to present a reading of the process, highlighting its political dimension, beyond the monopoly of scientific truth (medical, epidemiological and virological). His interventions were the subject of various invective, to the point of disqualifying all his philosophical production. Using his extensive production and his method of analysis, this text reconstructs his observations on the pandemic, beyond an immediate reading, to show that his interpretation is correct. What seemed to many to be accelerated opinions are shown to be judgments derived from a systematic critique of modern governance paradigms.
