Abstract

The Malvinas conflict has been deeply tied to Argentine educational tradition for at least fifty years. Its widespread significance seems inseparable from its treatment in classrooms. In 2006, Argentina’s National Education Law No. 26206 revitalized the approach to teaching Malvinas within the framework of state memory policies (Lvovich & Bisquert, 2008). Nearly twenty years after the law's enactment, it is crucial to analyze its effects on Malvinas education, considering the different governments that implemented it. This article aims to reconstruct the academic research landscape on Malvinas and Education since 2006. A systematic review of the available literature was conducted using various databases, identifying 19 relevant studies. The analysis of these works reveals recurring themes in the teaching of Malvinas, such as the prominence of local memories and their influence on the curriculum, as well as the persistent focus on the war. Additionally, a tension is observed in educational materials addressing Malvinas, oscillating between polysemic openness and didactic purposes.
