Abstract

This article makes an epistemological approach to the process that leads to knowledge from certain theoretical foundations attributed to the sense and meaning with which reality is interpreted. Although the assumptions of empiricism assume that scientific knowledge must be based on experience and sensory perception, paradoxically, the mere "presence" of the phenomenon does not imply scientific interest if one takes into account that in itself, the concept of "existence" incurs an insufficient abstraction for the empirical presuppositions themselves. Therefore, the interest of science is not focused on achieving pure knowledge based entirely on experience, but, above all, on the sense and meaning that could be attributed to it.
