This article develop concepts about the police and the fantastic in novels La octava plaga y Toda la sangre of Bernando Esquinca. In principle is the explanation of the police and the ways of understanding this concept through the characters, plot, the social attitude, among other elements. The second part focuses on the fantastic according to David Roas proposal because his theory allows us to understand the link between the supernatural and the detective novel by the irruption of the impossible to represent the transgression in an urban space as it is the city of Mexico.Downloads
