Guide for evaluators
The reviewer must log in with their username and password provided by the journal editors.
On the first screen, 1. Request, the article designation is displayed. Click on the “View” button to see all the information related to the article. At the bottom, the reviewer must Accept review, continue to Step #2, Guidelines. Here, the reviewer will see the review criteria and, once they have read them, they can continue to step 3. Download and review. In the form, they can select the option that best matches their opinion according to the parameters established for the review. At the bottom, there is a box titled Final review result where they can make a decision.
Next is the section titled Final Evaluation Result, where you must select one of the options from the menu. If the evaluator deems it appropriate, in the section titled General Opinion, they will have the opportunity to make suggestions to the author and express their general assessment of the article.
Further down, there is a section called Upload, where you can upload the article file with the evaluator's notes and/or comments directly into the document (if you use the Word comment command, make sure that the evaluator's name does not appear in the comment balloons). To upload the file, click on the Upload file button, select the file in question, and it will be uploaded to the platform so that the author can review the comments that have been made.
Finally, there is a last section called Recommendation, where you can select the one that you consider appropriate for the final result.
To complete the evaluation, press the Submit Request button, confirm the decision, and proceed to step 4. Completion, where you will have the option to add a comment addressed to the journal editor. This will allow us to view the evaluation and send the result to the author. If, for any reason, the reviewer does not complete the evaluation and wishes to continue at another time, they can click on the Save for later button and resume the activity when they deem necessary.
NOTE: The reviewer has one week to accept the request and three weeks to complete the evaluation.
