Abstract

In 1933, Simone Weil studied the social situation in Russia. For her, the socialist regime was not fulfilling its main objective, the liberation of the workers. For this reason, the philosopher analyzes the traditional concept of revolution. This word lacks content, it is a concept full of collective imaginaries through which valuable blood has been spilled. In this paper, we will indicate which are the problems of the revolution, Weil's criticism of Marx, as well as the main problem that, according to the philosopher, the revolutionary must face in order to realize a true social change.
