The insignificance of life in Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz and Calderón de la Barca poems

This article is about the sonnet Procura desmentir los elogios que a un retrato de la poetisa
inscribió la verdad, que llama pasión written by Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz and about La vida
es sueño - jornada iii - escena xix written by Calderón de la Barca. In order to expose the
context in wich were created, also biographys of the authors, lately we make an analysis
from the poetic forms of the poems, the subjects in them and how it relates to the period.
Finally we show the differences and similarities between both.
