The workers are human persons, with dignity and rights. A synthesis is made of what the
human person is, and his dignity. The importance of these concepts in the current theory of
human rights and their implementation in the International Systems for the Protection of
Human Rights (be it Universal or Inter-American), as well as in Mexican positive law,
especially after the constitutional reform of 2011. Later it is affirmed that the right to
equality and non-discrimination has its origin in human dignity. In addition, emphasis is
placed on what is expressed in national and international instruments and jurisprudence on
the right to dignity at work, and the right to equality and non-discrimination in employment.
Concluding that the service provided by every working person must be decent and that the
Mexican State is obliged to respect, protect, guarantee and promote equality and non-
discrimination at work.
