This study is constructed from a narrative approach to weaving and the sense of community among a group of women weavers from the municipalities of Vélez Santander and San Francisco el Peñol, Nariño. The study generated an understanding of weaving from the perspective of communities. To this end, the study began by reviewing the theoretical and empirical background of the aesthetic process of embroidery and weaving at the international and national levels. A methodological approach was also developed to implement maqui thinking and community mapping through the Cosmic Churo (Churo Cósmico) to analyze the expression that evokes diverse intellectual and emotional reactions, symbolizing movement from the inside out. Among the results, it was found that there are elements that allow us to identify the meanings and values in the practice of weaving in relation to the sense of community. It was concluded that weaving is related to cultural identity in women's groups, allowing us to describe the actions of weaving and its transmission from generation to generation based on its impact on the preservation of culture.
