The decolonization of La Fiesta Brava.

This article aims to demonstrate the way in which an author from Latin America, the Mexican, José Emilio Pacheco, deconstructs the colonial narrative in one of his stories. Acknowledging the past is one of their strategies to move towards decoloniality and unlearning of the oppressive structures of power, gender, race and class from the colonial era: the solution lies in going back to the origins to become aware of the circumstances and events of the present.
