Gallicisms in the Spanish language: Review of the state of the art.

The present study attempts to offer a global vision of the state of the art regarding scientific production on the study of voices of Gallic origin within the Spanish language, approached from various perspectives.
The goal pursued in this paper is twofold: on the one hand, it attempts to provide both specialists in the subject and fans of the Spanish lexicon with a panoramic view of the works that have been published on this topic since the end of the 18th century, and, on the other hand, by completing the already existing reviews, we echo the most recent publications in this field. Despite having compiled the most popular studies, we have allowed ourselves, in some cases, to make a value judgment regarding their relevance.
In order to prepare this work, we have relied on contributions from several linguists, specialists in the field of lexicology. In addition, virtual portals, such as Dialnet, Google Scholar, Research Gate, etc., have been very useful tools in the search for secondary bibliography.
