Women and Malvinas in Argentine comics: the case of Un fuego desconocido (2023)
Abstract
This paper analyzes how the relationship of women with the Malvinas theme is represented in Argentine comics. In this case, the article studies the graphic novel Un fuego desconocido (2023), a work that presents the lives of women who had some relationship with the Malvinas Islands throughout their history. The research will first delve into the relationship of Argentine comics with the Malvinas episodes, before and after the 1982 war. Then, the particular relationship of women within that chronology to, finally, specifically study the selected work.
